Methyldichlorosilane (Methyldichlorosilane) alias dichloromethylsilane. Soluble in benzene, ether and heptane. Lively in nature. Highly toxic and flammable. Colorless liquid with pungent odor and easily deliquescent. Steam and air can form an explosive mixture, which can cause combustion and explosion in case of open flame and high heat energy; in case of violent reaction with water or water vapor, the released heat can cause it to spontaneously ignite and emit toxic and corrosive fumes; it reacts violently in contact with oxidants.

Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse. Prohibit the use of mechanical equipment and tools that are prone to sparks. Storage areas should be equipped with emergency release equipment and suitable containment materials.
